About Mallinfo

Mallinfo had its roots in Vodacom South Africa. In 2010 Mr Allan Knot Craig, then CEO of Vodacom, started us as a "skunk-works" project within Vodacom. The aim was to create LBS (Location Based Search) apps for Vodacom.

When Vodafone bought Vodacom, we were given permission to continue with the project and the company Mallinfo was founded.

We redesigned the LBS concept into a hyper focused service for Shopping Malls.

The result is a great mall app that became an MTN Runner-up at the MTN Mobile App Awards or Best Android Consumer App in South Africa, specifically for our Virtual Shopping Walls that were used at the Canal Walk Shopping Centre.

Today Mallinfo is South Africa's largest mall app IT service provider, working behind the scenes to make more than 20 malls and their marketing agencies look great.
